Vietnam supplier verification checklist

A practical Nguyen the Sourcer article template for checking Vietnam suppliers before samples, deposits, or purchase orders.
Answer first
Supplier verification in Vietnam should check product fit, company signals, export readiness, communication quality, sample terms, payment risk, and documentation before a buyer sends money or shares sensitive product details.
Practical checklist
- Confirm the supplier specializes in the product category, not just a broad marketplace listing.
- Ask for export markets, production photos, catalogues, certificates, MOQ, lead time, sample cost, and payment terms.
- Compare business name, website, email domain, address, and contact identity for consistency.
- Request the same quote format from each supplier so price, packaging, tooling, sample, and freight assumptions are comparable.
- Keep a rejection log. The reason a supplier was rejected is often as useful as the shortlist.
Buyer note
A strong shortlist usually has fewer suppliers, better notes, and clearer risks. The goal is not to collect names. The goal is to make a buyer decision easier.
